How It Works!
Introducing a revolutionary way of sharing food, building community and solving hunger here in Clatsop County.
Hunger in Clatsop County is a real emergency need for many families and individuals. Unfortunately, many simply cannot afford their next meal even through they are working full or part time jobs.
This is where the North Coast Community Food Project of Oregon comes in!
Here is how it works!
Each month Volunteer Neighborhood Coordinators, sign up volunteer household food donors and distribute one of our re-usable yellow bags with households who volunteer with the project to be Volunteer Food Donors. Throughout the month, households have the opportunity to fill those bags with non-perishable food and other essential items from the Food Project’s "Most Needed Items List."
Then, once a month, we send Volunteer Neighborhood Coordinators and other Food Project volunteers to collect the filled bags for delivery to the CCA Regional Food Bank distribution center in Warrenton and local food pantries.
All donated items support your local food pantries and other programs here in Clatsop County.

Hunger is a real issue affecting millions. Here in Clatsop County we have hundreds of families and individuals who do not know if or when they will be getting their next meal. The North Coast Community Food Project was designed to assist in filling the gap between those in need and those who can give. It is not a food drive, its a volunteer community monthly donor drive.
